A short walkthrough. Everything is saved in your browser — refresh, close the tab, come back later, your data is still here.
1. Start a batch
Click + New Batch in the top-right.
- Pick a product (Sourdough, Brioche, etc.)
- The batch number auto-fills — change it if you like
- Give the run a process name (e.g. "Morning Sourdough")
- Hit Start Timer — a card appears in that product's row
2. Read each card
From top to bottom, each card tells you:
- 👆 Progress bar — how far through the current step you are
- 📦 Product + Batch # + Process name
- 👨🍳 Current step (the big honey-colored name)
- ⏱️ Countdown — time left in this step
- ⏰ Done at HH:MM — wall-clock time this step finishes
- ➡️ Next: [step] at HH:MM — what's coming up and when
3. When a step ends
A two-note chime plays and the card auto-advances to the next step. The countdown and ETA reset for the new step.
Finished early? Click Proceed to Next Step to skip ahead.
4. Pause & resume
Click the yellow ⏸ Pause button to freeze a batch.
- The card turns striped with a glowing border and a ⏸ PAUSED badge
- Timer and ETA freeze at their current value
- Click ▶ Resume to pick up where you left off
- Paused batches do not auto-advance, even if their time passes
5. Status colors at a glance
Running — normal cream card
Warning — pulsing honey border, < 5 min remaining
Paused — striped + glowing + PAUSED badge
Done — soft green card, moved to History
6. Manage products & settings
- Products — add new products, edit their step lists, delete ones you don't bake
- ⚙️ Settings — set your bakery name, change the warning threshold, or export / import / reset all your data as a JSON file
- 🔔 — toggle sounds on/off (warning beep + completion chime)
- 🌙 — toggle dark mode
7. Where's my data?
All stored in your browser's localStorage. Nothing leaves your device.
To move to another computer, use ⚙️ Settings → 📤 Export on one device, then 📥 Import on the other.
